Ending the 2021 school year was not he same transition as a normal none pandemic year. Usually our kiddos can't wait for school to finally be over, no more early mornings, no more waiting for the bus but this year it was the closing of a Mac Book that brought this school year to an end. Graduation wearing masks, outside! Getting back to some kind of normalcy was very much needed for everyone not only our kids.
June finally came along and so did football practice with the right precautions. Finally our kids are able to get some social interaction with friends and not threw a social media sight! I am sure it was hard for many to get back into the swing of things. This year could have affected everyone differently. Social anxiety is real and I have seen it myself in many children.
June is just what the doctor ordered. Fundraisers, football camps (for many players), Booster Club meetings and not over zoom! It was a very successful month of June for the Valencia Football Team and thank you every one for the commitment to our children and their well-being. Pushing them to do better.
We want to see everyone play to their fullest! Many of our players struggle with grades, don't have rides to practice, struggle with mental illness. Please if you see any child struggling please advise them they are never alone. Especially belonging to such a well structured caring team.
Let's make July just as successful as we did June! If you or anyone you know needs help with food, rides to and from practice, please don't be afraid to ask. We are a team and are will work as a team to help anyone and everyone.
